Virginia is Getting More Expensive: Breaking the Barriers to Your Liberty
Living in the Commonwealth shouldn’t be a constant financial struggle. The rising cost of living isn't an accident—it is the direct result of government policies that stifle competition and restrict your choices. At the United States Liberty Party of Virginia, we are fighting the three main pillars suffocating the budgets of Virginian families:
Housing: Less Bureaucracy, More Homes
Restrictive zoning laws and endless permitting processes prevent the housing supply from keeping pace with demand. When the government dictates where and how you can build, prices skyrocket. We advocate for liberating the real estate market to make owning a home an achievable reality rather than a luxury.
Healthcare: Competition to Lower Costs
The current system is cluttered with regulations that protect monopolies and eliminate competition. From "Certificate of Public Need" (COPN) laws to barriers against telemedicine, state policies artificially inflate medical prices. We propose a patient-centered model where free competition drives costs down and improves quality of care.
Education: Empowering Families to Choose
Too many families are trapped in school districts that fail to meet their expectations simply because they cannot afford an alternative. The state’s educational monopoly halts innovation and raises taxes without guaranteeing results.
